Italian Restaurant Al Forno on Osborne Road, Southsea now in its second year has gained a excellent reputation for fresh food using locally sourced produce.
Fresh pasta made on the premises daily is the highlight whilst you can often see the chefs in the open plan kitchen tossing the homemade pizza dough. However it’s not only the stone baked pizzas and fresh pasta that warrants a try but also the selection of risotto’s, steak sourced from award winning ‘Buckwells of Southsea’ and fish dishes sourced from local fish markets in Old Portsmouth.
To complete the theme all the desserts are hand made including a fabulous Italian Trifle and homemade chocolate brownies. Vegetarians are very well catered for and most pasta dishes can be made gluten free on request.
Lunch time specials are only £4 served everyday 12 -3 pm.
